Make This Summer the Season to End Hunger

Hunger has two very different meanings. For many of us, it’s just the uncomfortable feeling we
get after not eating for long period of time... But for many children in our community, it’s food
insecurity - a long term physical state, causing an elevated risk of illness, trouble in school, and sometimes social isolation.

Many parents lost their jobs last year. Months later, they’re still stretching every dollar just to make ends meet. They simply can’t afford two extra
meals per day over the summer. So, without the stability of school meals, children in our neighborhood go hungry.

We have the opportunity to create change this summer. With community efforts and support, we can help our community’s health and help our children thrive.

Please don’t wait. Will you make a difference in the lives of hungry children in our community this summer?
